Virtual Student Program
Interested in learning more about careers in Community Health Centers? Sign up to participate in our virtual student learning program. This self-paced course allows students to view on-demand content built as an introduction to CHCs. Students completing the program will receive a certificate of completion they can put on their resume.
IPHCA has trained nearly 1,000 students through our student program, “Understanding and Serving America’s Underserved: An Introduction to Community Health Centers.” This program is a great way to learn more about programs designed to provide high quality care to underserved patients, specifically Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)/Community Health Centers (CHCs). Our tracks are approximately 2 hours and designed based on discipline such as Medical (MD/DO), Dental (DDS/DMD, RDH), Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, MPH, Behavioral Health, undergraduate level/community college, and high school.
This self-paced virtual experience will include:
- FQHC 101
- Interviews with healthcare professionals working in this setting
- Examples of career opportunities and career pathways available in FQHCs
- Loan repayment and scholarship opportunities
- Exposure to the importance of integrated services
Not only is this event a great resume builder, IPHCA has helped many past student attendees connect with their current employers.
